WHO ARE WE?
Hi! We are Sentry and Isabel Kelly. We are adventure ADDICTS that split our time between exploring the mountains, and building custom vans for aspiring VanLifers! Our aim for this site is to inspire you to get outside and find YOUR adventure, no matter what that looks like! We have all the tips and tricks for curious vanlifers as well as the ultimate guide for exploring each national park! If it’s an adventure you’re looking for, you’re in the right place.
Backstory, Vanbuilding, Adventuring, and MORE!
We met in 2017 backpacking in Banff National Park in Canada, where we fell in love with travel, adventure and each other! Since then, we have morphed our lives around our adventure plans. In 2018 we decided to move into a travel trailer full time so that we could be more mobile. We absolutely loved the simplicity and the impact downsizing had on our lives! We quickly started learning about VanLife and were immediately attracted. In 2020 we decided to buy our first Van. We built it out and had her on the road in just a few months. We LOVED it! Our van has given us a place to sleep during our favorite adventures — the unplanned ones!
Sentry is an engineer by degree and Isabel is a traveling nurse. Sentry quit his corporate job to pursue some of our bigger adventure goals. The van was the perfect home for our weird family dynamic! After our first van was done, we had quite a few people reach out wanting him to build one for them! We were surprised at how much we enjoyed the building process, which led us to start taking custom orders for customers! We never wanted to compromise our adventure goals by starting a business, BUT we also can’t say no to helping someone dive into the VanLife community!
To help keep OUR adventure alive, we only build for a very small portion of the year. The majority of our time is spent climbing mountains, road tripping, beer drinking, and nonstop exploring. Contact us for inquiries on custom builds!
